Ticketpro, one of South Africa’s leading ticketing distributors, is expanding beyond its popular online engine by adding physical retail channels across South Africa. The ticketing company, part of the JSE listed Blue Label Telecoms Limited, is launching a ticketing kiosk in Johannesburg’s Melrose Arch.

The kiosk was launched on Friday, 30 October 2015 and will provide a wide range of ticket and payment options, including:

•          Nationwide Ticketpro event tickets;

•          Bus tickets;

•          Bill payment options;

•          Airtime and prepaid electricity sales.

The Ticketpro Melrose Arch Kiosk is located at the entrance to the Woolworths store on the ground floor and will also act as an information counter. This means that consumers will not only be able to purchase tickets from the counter, but also direct their general centre enquiries to the Kiosk staff. Furthermore, other benefits available to the customer include Melrose Arch Gift Cards.

The launch of this Kiosk follows Ticketpro’s recent kiosk launch at the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth.

Ticketpro Executive, Brandon Duffield comments, “The Ticketpro Kiosks offer our customers yet another channel at their convenience for event tickets and payment requirements. We have selected Melrose Arch as the first Johannesburg venue for our Kiosks as it is so central and is one of the most enjoyable lifestyle orientated shopping destinations in Gauteng.”

Earlier this year, Ticketpro initiated a retail distribution strategy through partnering with the Edcon Group for Ticketpro event tickets, bus tickets and payment offerings to be available for purchase at Edgars, Edgars Active and Jet stores across South Africa.

Mike Vermaak, GM at Melrose Arch says, “We are incredibly excited to have our first ticketing offering at Melrose Arch. The Kiosk will offer great Ticketpro entertainment options for our shoppers, as well as the added convenience factor.”

The Kiosk will operate from Monday to Sunday from 08h30 to 18h00. Payment options will include cash and credit card.
