Melrose Ladies Meander

On Saturday May 25th Melrose Arch hosted a highly successful Ladies Workshop with

The event was sold out within 48 hours, which meant that we could expect 94 eager ladies. And 94 eager ladies is exactly what arrived on the day 🙂 With style guru Janine Starkey and Kate Emmerson, author of Clear your Clutter there was plenty to learn.

The morning began at Orient with delicious dim sums and fruit teas. Kate Emmerson took the role of MC and ushered the ladies to their seats so we could begin with our jam packed schedule. Janine, from well know House of Janine, kicked off the proceedings with an extremely informative talk on Style and how to dress for your body type. All the women sitting around me were eagerly listening while jotting down all of Janine’s tips and beauty secrets.

With the introduction and formalities out the way we all headed off to Shiseido  Edgars for our first workshop. For those of you that are not familiar with Shiseido; it was established in Japan in 1872, making it the oldest cosmetic house in the world. We received overly generous Shiseido goodie bags and an informative make-up tutorial. All the ladies seemed thrilled to learn some make-up tricks, some even opted to buy the products once the tutorial was complete.

While heading to our next destination at Melrose Arch, we were all given a hot cuppa of our choice from Vida e Caffe. Upon arrival at Woolworths we were greeted by Janine and her team of stylist. I think all the ladies were excited and ready to shop like only women know how 😉 Each lady received a body style card, with the basics of how to dress for your body shape and the major do’s and don’ts’.

After an hour of intense shopping at Woolworths we were all ravenous. Thank goodness by the time we made our way back to Orient our delicious lunch spread was ready and the champagne was flowing! Goodie bags and give-aways were abundant which helped add to the already enthusiastic and fun mood.
