Melrose Arch: Introducing Jo Malone’s Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense

It may be too early to officially call it – and who knows what further sensory magic the Jo Malone brand has tucked up its sleeve for 2017 – but so far we can truly say that the newest fragrance addition may just be our favourite cologne to date – Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense. The new Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense is now available at Jo Malone Melrose Arch.

You’ll be hearing a lot about this new creamy-yet-sensual fragrance explosion; in our humble opinion, Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka Cologne Intense has all the potential to be the cult fragrance of 2017.

The latest scent from the Cologne Intense collections is Myrrh & Tonka; an oriental, the brand rather evocatively describes it as “a nomad song of sand and smoke-threaded twilight” which paints the image of a fragrance that appears within a rich tapestry of colours. Unlike the last Cologne Intense fragrance Orris & Sandalwood, which played with polar opposites (soft vs hard), Myrrh & Tonka celebrates the complimentary relationship between its top billing ingredients.

Jo Malone London are the mixologists of the scent world. They piece together a perfumed pantry’s worth of ingredients to make intriguing compositions that we, the fragrance lovers, can mix-up and combine in any way we see fit. Within their main line, the scents are usually light, easy-to-wear little ditties that manage to be complex and intriguing without being particularly demanding, whilst their Cologne Intense collections offers up richer and more substantial compositions.

The rich, potent sap of the Namibian myrrh tree, harvested by hand since time began. Mingling with whispers of warm almond and lush vanilla, fragrant gifts of the addictive tonka bean. Noble. Sensual. Intoxicating.
