Every woman knows that just one or two great accessories can take an outfit from drab to fab in seconds. And no one knows this better than Chimene Wynne, owner of Jade Melrose Arch, which specialises in exquisite, one-of-a-kind jewellery.
A niche jewellery store, Jade is renowned for finding creative inspiration and beauty from around the world and translating it into wearable pieces of art that are competitively priced. Semi-precious stones are sourced from all four corners of the globe, with gems from as far afield as India and Brazil being mixed with pearls from farms in China. Pearls are combined with semi-precious gems like rose quartz, agate, lapis lazuli, citrine, kyanite, amethyst, tiger’s eye, jade, aquamarine, garnet and tourmaline to create unique pieces that are bold and eye-catching. Owner and creative director of Jade SA, Annemarie van Wyk, designs the jewellery, which is made up at the company’s headquarters in Stellenbosch.
“The designs are classic, many of which have a subtle African feel,” explains Wynne. “We found some beautiful beads in Ethiopia that inspired Annemarie and as a result, we have a new Ethiopian range. There are also gorgeous pieces with vintage, baroque, Florentine and Indian influences. All our pieces are competitively priced because the materials are obtained directly from the source.”
Jade’s ranges comprise bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings, and whether it’s big and bold you prefer or delicate and dainty, you’ll find the perfect jewellery to suit you.
Jade also stocks a beautiful range of women’s clothing that is designed for discerning women who appreciate simplicity and timeless beauty. All-natural fabrics like linen, bamboo, silk and knits are used to create high-quality items that are stylish and effortlessly chic. With winter in sight, Jade’s ponchos, knits, jackets and coats are exactly what you need to stay warm while looking gorgeous.
