On Mother’s Day, over 1500 people gathered in jovial spirits on the Melrose Arch High Street to celebrate mothers.
The High Street was completely transformed into a park like setting with rolling lawns, dressed in soft pastel colours. The ‘picnic-like’ day was a feast for the whole family.
The Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, under the baton of Richard Cock, set the tone for a magnificent afternoon in the winter sun. Soloists Naz Holland and Tim Moloi led the celebrations with crowd favourites Pata Pata, Circle of Life and Special Star.
The restaurants and the newly launched Melrose Arch Gourmet Market assured that even the most discerning palates were content. FromVoyo’s Wors (yes, the man from the advert is real) to mouth watering samosas, we had it all!
This is our first collaboration with Classic fm, and it proved to be extremely popular.
